| As the parents of four young children, we owe Paul and Luca a deep and heartfelt gratitude! We have just been to La Faula for the second time, slightly nervous as the children have talked of little else since we left last year and expectations were running high, and are already planning next summer´s return. This really is the most perfect place to come with children. The rooms are set up so parents can be on their own, with the children (all together) in an adjacent room if you want, within earshot but not actually with you. There are dogs, donkeys, ponies and chickens; the new pool is fantastic; the fields and vineyards are perfect for exploring; the food, and wine, make it easy for adults to relax and indulge. And most of all, Paul and Luca are the most incredible hosts. The fact that our slightly clingy 4 year old and terribly shy 6 year old have said they would be happy to stay here on their own if Paul and Luca would look after them is about the best endorsement we can give. And of course we have said yes. |
