Today its the 16 of August and monday, my name is Brigitta and I come from Sweden to La Faula as an volunteer for 5 weeks.. Maybe the oldest so far. My grandson Ky was here when he was 14 years old.
La Faula is the most faboulus place to live at.
Last week we have a 14 years old girl here her parents and sister makes holiday for 2 weeks and in this time Johanna works here she was a realy nice girl.
Marlene and Johanna are the most maroulse gils in the kitchen, pergola and garden.
On Sunday we have free after breakfeast in the evening we go always in a restaurant and have a pizza thats allways so nice.
Now countdown is starting because this is the last week were we have the most guest in La Faula.

Hello everybody!
my name is Marlene Im comming from Carinzia, there Im going in a hotelschool where I must make a practical training for 3 month.
Then I say to myself why do you not go to Italy? the sun is allways shining I will be brown, 3 month pasta that will be great and the Italien boys are lovely.
Now Im staying here in La Faula and write my first diary about La Faula.
I must say that the first 3 weeks was realy hard. My stupid greazy english, Im came from carinzia were whe speake german we make all in the last minute spraying not the wash liquied on the cloth and not stray away on the stuf were we need this.
That so organist and clean here, so simple and in the kitchen is all under controll.
On Wendesday there are arriving a greazy 68 years old Lady from Sweden as Volunteer. But she is realy good maybe sometime she has no idea what shes doing but she is the real granny of La Faula

So now I'm sitting here at home in my dad's office and I'm trying to write a nice conclusion.
At the beginning it was a bit strange at home. No spray to put on the cloth, no dogs in any corner, no Paul and Luca and no sweedish speaking in the kitchen.
Sometimes it was quite tough, but I enjoyed the time at La Faula.
It was an exciting and wonderful summer.
I learnt some thing here, but not like washing-up, cooking or serving, no. I learnt not to panic when something goes wrong and how you always can be nice to the guest even if you have your worst day.
Thank's Paul and Luca for teaching me and for having so much patience with me and my running and my "throwing and smashing around".
So good bye and for sure I will come back to La Faula, even if it is just for a few days.

Today I harvested grapes for the first time in my life!
It was quite hard, but I'm glad that it was not so hot.
I liked it, anyway.
I'm a bit tired now, but the swedish ladies will cook, so I just have to help with serving and dishwashing.
I have only four more days here at La Faula, it's incredible.
On Saturday my mum will come and then we'll cook dinner together, but not just a simple dinner, no: typical carinthian! =) I'm looking forward to that, I'm sure it will be great!
Here are some fotos when I phoned my family on skype, it was really funny! =)

Oh my god, it's working!!!!
okay, I have to start at the beginning.
Hi, I'm Ruthi from Austria and I've been at La Faula since the 31st of may.
When I came here Paul told me proudly that there's a volunteer's diary going to be at our homepage. That's great, I thoughht, so all my friends know what I'm doing here and they can have a look at the fotos which I'll make!
So today, nine days before I'll leave, I start this diary!
At the beginning I thought "Where's Italy?" because it was raining all the time, nearly without a break. After two weeks I went home for two nights to be there for one of my friend's birthday!
It was a big surprise, because nobody, eccept my dad, knew that I'll come home.
When I started to prepare the breakfast I thought it's really terrible. I was always a bit nervous, because I wanted it perfect for the guests. But after a while it turned just in a routined job and I even started to enjoy it.
Then Matt and Paul arrived, the two scottish boys from Glasgow.
First I thought please let them be nice! I was shocked-but after a few days I found out that they are not that bad, no, they were quite nice!
After five weeks being at La Faula I had to go home, because vinci arrived and there was no space for me- but honestly I have to say-at that time I was glad that I could go home for a while.
I was at home for a week and I really enjoyed it. To see my family again, and my dog, my friends and of course my farm!
Back at La Faula we were four workers here, which was really comfortable, especially because of matt's idea to work on shifts-at that point: thank's matt!
On the 7th of August Johanna arrived and four days later the two nice boys left! -> what a pity!!
Well, now the week with the volley ball girls is nearly over and I just say that I was glad for having Johanna here!
Okay, I think that's enough for now!
